Getting clean mixer audio into your video

Short answerRecord the mix from the mixer's REC or booth output (into your DJ software, a recorder or an audio interface), keep the phone filming for the picture, and sync the two by the first beat.
  1. Clap once on camera before you start; it gives you a sync point.
  2. Record the mix from REC out, or inside your DJ software if it supports recording.
  3. Film with the phone as normal.
  4. In the editor, line up the clap or the first kick, then mute the phone's own audio.
